Massage Therapy became an important part of Glynis’ life when she sought a way to alleviate her own severe low back pain and stress. She soon realized that massage would be a rewarding way to contribute to others’ wellbeing. Glynis is a graduate of Mount Royal College and has been practicing massage therapy for 20 years. She has over 1000 hours of initial training in therapeutic, trigger point, myofascial release, neuromuscular, relaxation and pre-natal massage techniques and is a member of the NHPC (Natural Health Practitioners of Canada). During her many years of practice, she has taken, and continues to take, continuing education courses in massage therapy. Comprehensive assessment, keeping up to date with evidence-based research, and taking the time to understand the client’s goals are the values to Glynis’ massage therapy practice. Glynis focuses on posture and structural alignment, tissue release and re-balancing, joint mobilization, restructuring the myofascial connective tissue, pain relief, relaxation, stress management, and therapeutic exercise. Glynis invites and assists clients in actively participating in their own health.
